For the 2010 season the schedule features 8 Championship Series autocrosses, 3
schools, and we are hosting the 2010 Virginia Autocross Championship event.
Here's the schedule for the TSCC Champoinship Series at ACU-4:

Championship Events:
Tidewater Sports Car Club usually hosts 8 autocross events each year.
The driver that competes in all 8 events can drop the 2 lowest score
events.
Run Groups
A driver must choose one of four run groups to run in:
- Open
- Street Tire
- Ladies
- Novice
You may run in more than one run group during a season, but this may
limit your ability to win an award in either group.
Class System
TSCC uses SCCA autocross classes and PAX index for all series events.
Points System
There are 2 points systems being used:
Overall Top Ten (based on PAX)
TSCC awards the top ten drivers and class winners are trophied based on the number of eligible competitors.
Cone Clinic's:
Our first Cone Clinic is on 4/17 and is open to Novice drivers from Tidewater Community College and TSCC members. The other Cone Clinic's will be later in the year and concentrate on Intermediate and Advanced autocross skills. Peter Florance is putting together the Advanced class, so keep and eye out for updates, the roster will be limited and is sure to fill fast.
Virginia Autocross Champoinship:
The 2010 Virginia Autocross Championship event will be a 2 day format held at ACU-4 on 8/14 and 8/15. Keep an eye on the website for more information on the 2010 VAC
Novice Cone Clinic Autocross School 2010

Tidewater Sports Car Club will be hosting a Novice Cone Clinic
autocross driving school on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at ACU-4. The
school is open to TCC Students and TSCC club members only. If you are
not currently a TSCC member, see our Membership page to become a club member.
This class will be
limited to true novice autocrosser’s,
get yourself ready to try out your new skills the next day at our April
18th
Autocross. As usual the class is being held at ACU-4, and will require
that you
are on the 2010 Base Access List , click here to register for
base
access: Base Access List Entry . The event will likely run
from 8am
to 4pm or so, depending on weather.
The class is limited
to 30 students and will be open to TCC
students as well as TSCC members first at a cost of $35, non-member
entries
will be accepted after April 10th at a cost of $50. Your
class fee
includes great instruction, plenty of seat time, a boxed lunch from
Taste
Unlimited, and water or Gatorade during the class. Additional box
lunches can
be purchased for $11.00ea and includes a bottled water or Gatorade.

The food will be
pre-ordered so there will not be extra’s
available.

all heats for the 2010 Summer Eight Series, so become a full member today and skip the event
registration process for the season.
April 19th autocross has been cancelled

Due to the Navy using ACU-4 on Sunday April 19th, our 2nd event of the
season has been CANCELLED. Sorry for this inconvenience, but this is
one of the possibilities that we endure when running our events on a
venue that is located on a Naval base. Operations obviously take
priority.
Will this event be rescheduled?
We
have not yet decided how/when/if the event will be made up. There will
be further discussion at the next meeting, and the outcome will be
reflected on the schedule listed on the front page of the TSCC website
next month.
Refunds?
For
those of you that submitted payment through Paypal for this event, you
will receive a payment refund within the next 48hrs. TSCC Permanent
Members will not receive a refund for this event.
Cone Clinic
The
Cone Clinic, scheduled for Saturday the 18th has NOT BEEN CANCELLED.
(decided by near-unanimous vote at the monthly club meeting last night).
Autocross seat time in April
Those
interested in autocrossing at ACU-4 in April are invited to attend the

Preliminary results from the VIR Patriot Time Trial on March 29th, 2009 are up. Tidewater Sports Car Club would like to thank all 26 drivers who participated in the event. Detailed results will be posted within a week.
